Charlotte Davis

I grew up in a small Indiana town where I learned to swim in a lake when I was two and a half.   When I turned nine, I started going to summer camp in northern Wisconsin.  When I as fifteen, my cabinmate, our counselor, and I took a five-day, twenty-five-mile canoe trip around Lake Superior, an amazing experience.

When we moved to Los Angeles, I learned another water skill:  beach body surfing.

I became inspired to teach special education after my son was born with Down Syndrome.   During my forty-year career, my son and I have made a difference in my students’ and their families’ lives.

After I saw my first Aquadettes show, I knew that I wanted to join.  When I started swimming with them, I realized that alas, muscle memory does not last thirty years. But I do have the kindness, encouragement, and love from these amazing ladies, my friends.
