Aquadettes 2026 Handbook

Maribeth McFaul

From an early age, Maribeth loved swimming and belly flopping into community pools. She was trained in gymnastics, diving, and dance. “Swimming with the Aquadettes combines my passions for physical fitness and dance with artistic movement in the water,” she says.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, Maribeth moved to Mission Viejo in 1979 where she and her husband raised five boys. They moved to the Laguna Woods Village in 2023 and enjoy participating in the various activities and creative opportunities.

Maribeth worked as a graphic designer and art educator and is recognized for her larger-than-life ephemeral pavement chalk drawings. Maribeth’s paintings are displayed at the Laguna Woods Community Center and at the Art Studio at Club House 4. Also she is president of the Laguna Woods Art Association.
