Denise Medina

From the moment Dad taught me to swim in our three-foot backyard pool, I was hooked. My early obsession evolved into years of competitive swimming, lifeguarding, sailing with the family, beach trips to the Texas Gulf and the California coast, and every opportunity for beach vacations.

With a huge and supportive family, a forty-three-year marriage to Ralph, two wonderful sons Jason and Corbin, a thirty-year career with IBM, a fun women’s boutique, and an apparel manufacturing company with Ralph, this widow moved to Laguna Woods Village in August of 2023. In addition to making new friends, experiencing so many activities, and finding a beautiful home, I am now sailing with the Laguna Woods Yacht Club and, with Mom’s encouragement, swimming with the brilliant Aquadettes.
