Betsy Scanlon

I grew up in Exeter, California where at the age of four, I took swimming lessons in my neighbor’s swimming pool.

Fast forward to Laguna Woods Village: Since I still enjoyed swimming and the outdoors, I began swimming laps at Pool 1. I noticed the Aquadette ladies and how challenging their workouts are. I decided that I wanted to join this team. With the encouragement of my friend Cindy, we successfully tried out for the Aquadettes. Now we enjoy our new mermaid friends. Thank you Cindy.

I’m looking forward to many more years of challenge and fun with the Aquadettes.
