Denise Legters

I was in Figure Drawing class, quietly sketching near the pool when I heard the Aquadettes practicing. Their music and laughter echoed in the courtyard. Like a sailor lured by the Sirens, I followed their voices until I discovered an accomplished group of women spanning thirty years in age.

Though I`m more comfortable with my drawing tools and art projects, I have much to learn from these swimmers about life lessons, stunt techniques, and aging gracefully.

A secret about me: I`m Bionic. I`ve had 5 joints replaced or repaired. My most recent upgrades were two toes. I forgot to ask my doctor to surgically add webs between my toes to improve my frog stroke!
